See list of bars and restaurants to enjoy safely

You’re missing going out on Fridays, aren’t you? It has been almost five months without going to a restaurant or bar, to eat something, to have a cold beer and taste a delicious food dish. The way of getting a drink, however, is different now. At the table, in addition to the cold beer, there has to be alcohol gel and none of the buzz that we like in crowded bars.

To maintain safety and still allow fun, 43 bars and restaurants in Salvador are allowed to use the sidewalks to place their tables. In other words, going to the bar now has a bonus: enjoying the breeze of our charming city.

The operation of the restaurants was allowed on August 10 with the authorization for the start of phase 2 of activities resumption in Salvador, which included bars, restaurants, among other commercial establishments. As a result, many of them began to occupy public areas, such as parking lanes or part of a sidewalk, to improve service and ensure that customers would be safer at this time – since the contagion risks of the new coronavirus are smaller in open environments than in closed ones.

Looking for this kind of service in a safer way, with natural ventilation conditions and outdoor spaces, is undoubtedly one of the trends in world consumption. Salvador already has enough of this “tables on the street” culture, as is the case of the bars in Largo de Santana, Mariquita and Boteco do França, all in Rio Vermelho; the bars around Cruz do Pascoal, in Santo Antônio Além do Carmo and the restaurants in Mouraria.

Many establishments on this list have never had this type of service. Check below the 43 places allowed to have tables on the sidewalk in Salvador. Oh! The mask is an indispensable item. You can only take it out when drinking or eating.
