Project is marked by sustainable actions and art

The view over the All Saints Bay is, without a doubt, one of the great attractions of Larribistrô. In addition, you will find a place with a decoration full of loving details and exquisite service, brands of the family of entrepreneurs Rosa, Romildo, Gabriel and Guilherme Guerra, also ahead of the renowned Larriquerri and the still closed Larribar. The varied menu of lunch, coffee, snacks, happy hour and dinner will have you dying to come back.

As in traditional French bistros, Larribistrô’s proposal is to bring together in the same place a café, a bar and an authentic memory kitchen, exploring a democratic menu and the philosophy of sustainability, without the use of disposable cups and straws or bottled water in plastic.

Some of the unmissable suggestions are the Caju Ceviche with Shrimp and the carpaccio dumplings, a house classic, and the Steak Tartare, with finely chopped and seasoned filet mignon cubes, to start with a flourish. For the main course, the Gnocchi with Prawns in Pesto. If you like coffee, at Larribistrô you’ll have excellent options like “Espresso con Panna”, a single or double dose of espresso with whipped cream. Or the Iced Moka Caramel, made with Espresso, milk, caramel toffee, whipped cream and caramel sauce.

A little more about the place

The poetic atmosphere is yet another differential that pleases the customer, who is greeted with a “Chegue mais, mon amour”, the bistro’s slogan, mixing Portuguese and French, in honor of the Alliance Française. Phrases are scattered throughout the place, reinforcing that, in addition to the kitchen, the space is also a place of affection and memory, the partners’ mottos.

The texts are by Leana Mattei, designed by artist Bruna Miranda. The appreciation of art goes further and reaches the tables, which feature dishes by the plastic artist Hilda Salomão. Ceramic cups, plates, bowls and cake dishes are part of a collection made especially for Larribistro.

The French inspiration is also present in the renovation project, which is signed by the architect Guido Ramos, from the GAM Arquitetos office. The professional, who also signed the projects of Larriquerri and Larribar, ensured that they all had their own personalities and that the idea, in the annex of the Alliance Française, was quite different. The space, which gained an air-conditioned area, is inside a property listed by the National Institute of Artistic and Historical Heritage (IPHAN), which required greater care and respect for the structure.

The objective of the partners is not only to keep the clientele of the already successful establishments, but to win new audiences, who will have access to a revitalized space. The place serves not only visitors but also the public that attends the association, whether for French courses or to follow its cultural program, since the Alliance Française theater reopened in August.
