A secular trip with a spectacular view

The Conceição Hydraulic Elevator – which has been in the electric system for some time – and in the past popularly called the “Screw”, was the first urban elevator in the world. When it was inaugurated in 1873, it was also the highest, with 63 meters. It connects the Comércio District to the Upper City, in a course of approximately 20 seconds. That when there is no queue. Then, on holiday days in that area, go prepared because the elevator is used as public transportation from day to day by those who live in the city.

Reserve some coins and be delighted to get up there: the view of the bay is spectacular. For you who came to Salvador with the main purpose of partying, it’s worth passing by: it instigates the look! And from there you can go to so many places. Enjoy the bubbly coconut from the Cuban ice cream parlor, which is located at the top of the square. A treat! You think it’s a coconut drink? No, it’s not. But we will not tell you either… You will need to go there and taste it!
