An authentic, responsible, careful and poetic creative process

Candida Specht Ateliê is a brand that mixes fashion references and the richness of fabric prints and textures, with originality and good taste. The products are handmade and with such care that make them become articles of desire. There are purses, backpacks, fanny packs, thermals, wallets, nécessaires, cases, bags, glasses holder, suitcases, mat holder, clutch and more. Everything is very beautiful and delicate.

“Perfect for nights that turn into days and days that turn into nights, Candida Specht products are made in an authentic, responsible and careful way. With a strong connection with nature, those who consume our brand are looking for a piece with qualities, both physical and ideological. They are durable accessories, contemporary and with affective potential, of the kind that become the darling ones. Everything in our studio is produced to tell stories”, says a part of the brand’s precepts.

The brand was born in 2002 and bears the founder’s name. Partner in life and business, Mateus Requião arrived soon after to share the creative direction and logistics with Candida. The pieces have a cool style, attuned to the news, and at the same time free to mix the handmade with the classic.

They have a type of production that flirts with the concepts of slow fashion and slow life. They value light, durable materials and an honest production chain. Highlight for pieces with printed phrases such as “Plants Teach – about time”, “Silence – hear the voice from within”, “Now – presence in the present” and “Feet in the sand – just feel it”. They receive different shapes and varied materials that can be raw canvas or the brand’s wish bag made of plastic mesh, of those striped ones that you normally see on beach chairs or fair bags.

“The brand has a lot of our way of living life and this is reflected in the products. We believe that we are a work in progress”, explains Candida.

In addition to accessories, other pieces that are a big hit are Kimonos and super-versatile sarongs made with meticulously searched fabrics. The sarongs, in addition to being used to sit on the sand, can also be tied to the body in different ways, turning into dresses, pareôs and skirts. That’s because there is a button in a strategic place, which helps to tie it. There is also a line with fabrics in exclusive prints, developed in partnership with Moringa Estudio (@moringaestudio), an art and design studio in Salvador.

The brand has its own studio. The place is very cute. There are also some partner brands such as Jetleg Bodywear (@ jetleg.bodywear), independent beachwear, with inclusive sizes; Iloostre, joias de Negona’s jewelry (@iloostre); the silver rings and necklaces from the Mercedes West brand @mercedeswest and the newly created Um Caso Cá (@umcasoca), made of pine woodwork by André Matthes and Lina Specht, Candida’s sister.

There is always a small party, a meeting or some chatting happening there: the front garden of the house is very charming, an invitation to chat and do some shopping between one subject and another. The Ateliê has already opened its doors to receive partners such as IARA, Dresscoração, Jezebel, Isaac Silva, Casa Júpiter, Araruna, Carola Hoisel and Carpina. Not to mention “illustrious visits” like Luiza Brasil from Mequetrefismos, Magá Moura, Camila Pitanga, Leandra Leal, Carla Lemos from Modices and Nara Gil.
