History and Culture
Inaugurated in 1948, it was owned by Camafeu de Oxóssi himself, an illustrious personality of Bahian culture. At Camafeu, as people fondly call it, clients enjoy an amazing view of the Bay of All Saints from the famous and breathtaking balcony of Mercado Modelo. Besides the culinary tradition, Camafeu also has many lighthearted and varied artistic events, with constant MPB programming, being also a reference in exhibitions and book launches.
