Have you noticed how Laranjeiras Street in Pelourinho is charming? There are the stores of almost all Afro blocks products. There is Márcia Ganem’s Atelier, the Axé Project and Olodum’s headquarters. There’s also a plastic artist with very interesting works: Anunciação. Those who enjoy art and value pieces from local artists have to go there! Besides screens with different techniques, sculptures in different materials, he also has some fantastic products like ultra-colored sneakers with paint that seem to have come “out” from one of his paintings. For R$100.00 (one hundred reais), you can wear something unconventional.
The interesting thing is that, like other artists of the Historic Center, Anunciação works at the same place where he sells and exhibits his works. It is not unusual for the store to be full of people and yet the artist keep doing mosaic work on the floor, for example. These mosaics are also tailor-made for clients who want one of his works in their homes. Besides all, chatting with the artist is worth it, he always has a good story to tell!
