The Bahian stylist Márcia Ganem incorporates elements of Brazilian culture to fashion, crossing different textures, working on reliefs and different handicraft modalities, such as the knotted weft in stones, the Nhandutí lace (Guarani origin) , bobbin lace, Flor de Maré lace (Bahian lace, created by Márcia Ganem and the lace maker women from Saubara) and macramê, using polyamide fiber as a material. In her studio, it is possible to find pieces that combine a design concept that fuses traditional manufacturing techniques with the use of innovative materials, using the parameters of the Dialogical Design in Craft Traditions methodology, created by the designer, who invests in the relationship between stylists and traditional communities, believing in their dynamism and of the society itself, by the construction of fashion, based on the recognition and inclusion of cultural contexts. In a continuous research process, Márcia joins jewelry and handicrafts to haute couture, using sustainable materials such as polyamide fiber, patented by her brand.
