A democratic space of artistic convergence
Agá Studio was created in January 2017 and recently opened its doors in a beautiful and colorful house in Santo Antônio Além do Carmo. The neighborhood has been one of the main stages of cultural expression in Salvador, and the space promises to be more than a little store, but a democratic space of artistic convergence.
The gallery/studio/store has a project aimed exclusively at authorial creations, bringing together and housing works by independent visual artists (veterans and newcomers), mostly from Bahia. There, you will find works, paintings, prints, postcards, magnets, stickers, t-shirts, photography, mugs and the like.
A laboratory of ideas
The original proposal is to offer Agá products and, in addition, to bring together other brands and people from the same segment, concentrating different desires, multiple experiences and diverse knowledge. The idea is to offer the public a central place to appreciate and consume visual art.
Agá is a laboratory of ideas, a genuinely Bahian artistic production studio. The business is about transforming, sharing and unifying: art, poetry, politics, illustration and design. The collection offers aesthetic freshness, original language and technical diversity.
The space is idealized and curated by visual artist Hori Leal, creative mind of the Agá brand. This promises to be a “changeable environment”, which welcomes, in the first round (expo #001), 10 artists, people who join efforts and trajectories, a support point for the construction of ideas and possible projects.
The place seeks to move productions and initiatives such as: workshops, courses, exchanges, meetings, etc. The exhibitions will have artistic rotation, different themes and duration of approximately 2 months.
