Vila Caramuru undergoes through renovation and surprises

The result of the mega renovation of the old and traditional has left the place better than ever! The Fish Market is a great place to gather friends and eat good food. The diversity of restaurants with the best dishes of Bahian cuisine makes the life of both the Soteropolitan and the tourist happy. This is because, in addition to the delicacies and the beers with great prices, it is still in a historical place of the city. The shipwreck of Diogo Álvares Correia happened there, in the territory where the Tupinambás lived. Called Caramuru by the indigenous, he was elected the communication link between natives and Europeans. And that’s why the place was baptized: Vila Caramuru. Another factor is that the formation of the neighborhood also comes from fishermen’s colonies and their fish markets. Then order something and delight yourself in front of the sea imagining everything that may actually be there. Then go to Largo da Mariquita and eat a top quality acarajé, in one of the best places of the Bahian delicacy: Cira.
